Isn't Incompetent Medical Care Abusive?

This story reminds me of the Minnesota woman who had a double mastectomy because someone mislabeled the lab tests.

The rich want the middle class to be responsible but they're really not too keen on responsibility for themselves.

Of course, because they're bright and trained and it's only the lives of the lumpen that are destroyed, there's no need for compassion is there?

(PS There's no correlation between MD malpractice premiums and the frequency or size of malpractice judgments. The lumpen may not know how to pick the Doc's pocket but the insurers sure do.)
